Bullets033.gifThe Swartland takes on Namibia

Representatives from the Swartland region recently attended the very successful Namibia Tourism Expo in Windhoek under the umbrella of the Santam Swartland Wine- & Olive Route.    It was a very busy expo and a wonderful opportunity to promote our olives and wines to the people of Namibia.

Riebeek Cellars, Kloovenburg Vineyards, Org de Rac, AnnexKloof, Babylon’s Peak and Swartland Winery participated in the promotion.   The team also presented a regional Swartland Wine Tasting for the local trade at the warehouse of Barrel & Grove in Windhoek on the evening before the start of the Expo.   Die Republikein, a local newspaper, featured both the regional tasting and a photograph of the team of representatives.

Org de Rac has been awarded two Bronze medals in the 2013 Decanter World Wine Awards for the Org de Rac Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 and Org de Rac Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2012.

Cab Sauv 2011

The Org de Rac Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 has a deep, rich ruby colour with distinctive tomato leaf, pencil shavings and mulberries on the nose. A well rounded, full mouthfeel wine with velvety tannins and dark fruit.

Shiraz Cab Sauv Merlot 2012

Tempting aromas of ripe, dark forest fruit and picquant spices. Elegant and restrained on the palate with black berry and plum fruits mingling with savoury notes. Mocha and touch of spice.

Bullets033.gifAfbakeningskomitee vergadering oor Wynstreke
